Who’d Ha Thought It!

The winning team, the ‘Who’d Ha Thought It’, from Rochester, being presented with their prizes by Adam Holt

A wonderful day out in great company; the 34th annual Medway LVA golf day, held at the River Valley Golf Club in Upchurch, lived up to all its expectations.

The rain held off and we got off to a shotgun start at 9:30. With the best three stapleford scores counting on each hole, the Ivor Thomas team didn’t get off to the best of starts, with everyone failing to score on our first hole!

The beer tents proved their worth, and after downing a few pints the points slowly but steadily started to rack up.

Ivor Thomas Newbie Kieran Wynne showed great promise, despite only playing for 12 months, and played his part in the team by adding a number of points to the tally.

Adam Holt was determined to come away with a trophy and notching up a personal total of nil points over 18 holes – he didn’t let himself down!

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Angie Robinson for her efforts in raising a considerable amount for the Licenced Trade Charity on the day that will be used for a good cause. Well done Angie!
